DISISA (chronic) scan sample dictation
HISTORY: The patient is year-old with . Evaluate for chronic cholecystitis and ejection fraction calculation.
PROCEDURE: Dynamic images of the liver and anterior abdomen were obtained for minutes following the IV administration of mCi of Tc99m-DISIDA.
CCK (20 ng/kg) in 100 ml 0.9% normal saline was administered at minutes and infused over minutes.
FINDINGS: The hepatobiliary scan shows prompt, homogeneous hepatic uptake. There is visualization of activity in the intrahepatic and extrahepatic biliary trees at minutes, and the gallbladder at minutes. There is normal biliary-to-bowel transit (first noted at minutes).
The gallbladder ejection fraction (measured from to minutes) is calculated to be %, which is [within/below] normal limits.
IMPRESSION: [Normal/Abormal] radionuclide hepatobiliary scintigraphy.
1. Poor gallbladder ejection fraction: %, consistent with chronic cholecystitis.
1. Normal gallbladder ejection fraction %; no scintigraphic evidence of chronic cholecystitis.
