History: The patient is a [] Evaluate gastric emptying for solids.


Procedure: Static images of the anterior and posterior abdomen were obtained immediately and at approximately 30, 60, 120, and 240 minutes following the oral ingestion of scrambled egg substitute radiolabeled with [] mCi of Tc-99m sulfur colloid.

Findings:

The percent of radiotracer activity cleared from the stomach at 4 time intervals as compared to the amount of radiotracer activity present in the stomach immediately following the ingestion of radiolabeled scrambled egg substitute was as follows:

The criteria for normal gastric emptying is defined as clearance of greater than 90% of radiotracer from the stomach at 4 hours.
