Gastric emptying (solids) sample dictation
History: The patient is a  Evaluate gastric emptying for solids.
Procedure: Static images of the anterior and posterior abdomen were obtained immediately and at approximately 30, 60, 120, and 240 minutes following the oral ingestion of scrambled egg substitute radiolabeled with  mCi of Tc-99m sulfur colloid.
The percent of radiotracer activity cleared from the stomach at 4 time intervals as compared to the amount of radiotracer activity present in the stomach immediately following the ingestion of radiolabeled scrambled egg substitute was as follows:

The criteria for normal gastric emptying is defined as clearance of greater than 90% of radiotracer from the stomach at 4 hours.
