  • Prominent posterosuperior calcaneal tuberosity
  • Swelling in this area constitutes Haglund's disease and is associated with retrocalcaneal bursitis.
  • High heels cause impingement on the soft tissues overlying the prominence and give rise to symptoms of pain and swelling.
